Zooooooooo

On Thursday of our trip, all 3 of us went to the San Diego Zoo.

 We started with a bus tour of the zoo because it is so huge.

 After the bus, Calvin wanted to go see this kangaroo very badly, which is strange because usually he hates mascots.

 Calvin loved to climb like a koala in this tree.

 He would have stayed there all day if he could have.

 He kept saying his favorite animal was a cheetah so we had to stop to see it.

 Calvin loved the areas with things to ride on,

holes to pop up in,

 helicopters to steer,

and monkeys to, well, monkey around with.

 He LOVED the gorillas.

 We got to see things as common as ducks

 and as rare as panda bears.

 Calvin took every opportunity to run and try to climb on things.

 All the kids here were trying to see the hippos.

 Calvin needed help seeing the animals,

 which may be why he preferred all the statues.

 After the zoo

 we got back on the trolley

 to meet Uncle Cris for a yummy Italian dinner.

 Complete with gelato for dessert.

 And ended the night with some more fun with Uncle Cris.

Another exhausting but fun day.
