On Wednesday, Calvin and I had the morning by ourselves again.
Calvin loved the ducks at the fountain.
Then we went to the Natural History Museum.
The big exhibit was on pachyderms.
Here he is playing with cavemen (sure there was a much more technical term but I had no chance to read anything because for every "Please touch" exhibit there were 5 "don't touch" ones which did not give me much leisure time to read or learn anything).
A real tusk!
Calvin being hunted.
Checking out all the things to see, big and small.
Shark bait!
The dinosaurs kept his attention for some time.
Here he got to turn this wheel
to make these eggs hatch.
After a quick run thru a bones exhibit (all no touch until the end where you could draw bones)
we headed to his favorite spot: the gift shop.
After that, he fell asleep and Daddy met us for a walk through the car museum while Calvin napped (an ALL no touch museum so it was nap time or never).
Then we went to the sports museum, The Hall of Champions.
Calvin was very interested but disappointed because everything was behind glass.
We made a quick stop at a park
to kill time
waiting for the trolley to take us to meet up with Daddy's friend, Mike, who lives in San Diego.
Calvin was thrilled to be in a house with kids.
There were no still moments to get an in-focus picture of the boys.
We had an amazing home-cooked meal and a great time playing and talking.
Needless to say, Calvin slept very well on this trip.
