Field Trip

Calvin had his first school field trip to a pumpkin farm and apple orchard before we went on vacation.

 Unfortunately it was raining

 but that didn't stop the kids from having fun.

 This is Calvin with his teacher Mrs. Gehred. He's a big fan of hers.

 Calvin was happy that our neighbor William was there, too (he is in the morning class).

 Calvin was glad to get to pick his own apples.

 He remembered to twist and pull.

 And went right into eating the apples.

 Then it was on to pumpkins.

 He found the one he wanted.

 Notice how Spencer is looking up at Calvin. He had to look under the brim of Calvin's hat. It was so funny and cute.

 After pumpkins, they checked out the animals.

 Calvin had to check out the tractor, too.

 Although he didn't want to leave, I knew a nap was in order.

A very fun first field trip!
