Yesterday was Calvin's third birthday. He was soooooooooo excited to be 3.
He wanted pancakes for breakfast (he really was excited- I think he was watching someone out the window here).
Then we met Daddy at the TGI Fridays at Miller Park.
There wasn't a game but Calvin was excited to get to see the field and be at the stadium.
He got to chose his meal. Chicken nuggets, of course.
Then we got him special orange ice cream (sherbet) and a group of old men walking by insisted on singing Happy Birthday with us. Which was good because that song is always better with more people. Calvin was half embarrassed, half loving every minute of the attention.
He didn't want to leave one drop of it in the bowl.
Then we swung by Bernie Brewer's bedroom to look at all his cool stuff.
And say hello to Bernie.
Then we went outside the stadium to open presents.
Then we played at the park outside the stadium for a while.
There were slides
and lots of things to climb on.
This one made me just a little nervous and even Calvin asked for help shortly after I took this photo.
At home, Calvin wanted to help me water the flowers with the sprinkler but didn't want to get wet but did want to get wet at the same time, so he agreed he wanted to put on his new swim suit from Grandma Happy and Pop-Pop.
He wanted to take his car through the "rain".
Overall a very fun day! Calvin enjoyed his birthday so much he insisted today was still his birthday. :)
