Pumpkin Patch

Calvin visited a pumpkin patch with his mommy and Grandma Sarah.
Oh no! Where did Calvin go?
Right! A wagon. Calvin was not about to stay in his stroller.
 Say pumpkin!
I'll take the cute pumpkin in the middle.
 Oh no! It's attacking me!
He got to ride a tractor.
This is Wisconsin on a farm so there is no age limit on who can drive heavy farm machinery.
 His only passengers were pumpkins.
Oh my! A tower of hay!
He got to run around on the hay bails with the big kids.
 Whoa!
 Thanks, Grandma!
Closer to the top. We got all the way to the top but Grandma has those pictures on her camera.
He got to play hide and seek with Grandma in the hay.
I'm gonna get you!
  Found you!
Trying to get up on his own.
 Crawling over the big bails.
 My little pumpkin.
 I'm so big!
We were there for hours.
So much fun!
And no sneezing with all that hay!

Get Ready for Cuteness

Calvin and I went to visit Laura and her new baby Jolene.
Calvin says, "I remember when I hated tummy time."
 A much better view.
 Working on gentle touch.
 Smile!
Laura and Mike have a great park by their home.
Jolene doesn't think it's very exciting yet.
Soon enough she will realize what great slides they have.
 Wheeeeeee!
Back inside, Calvin wanted to hold Jolene's hand.
He also wanted to show her his feet.
 Mamas and babies.
I LOVE Jolene's face as Calvin gives her a kiss in this picture.
A VERY fun day meeting a new friend!

World's Smallest Horse

Calvin loves his riding toys. Unfortunately, he thinks he can ride anything.
I am now frequently having to stop Calvin from doing this:

Poor Millie.
Good thing she's smart enough to sit when he tries to climb on so he just slides off.

Apple Day

We went apple picking with some friends.
The day started with waiting for the apple cider donuts stand to open.
Chip and Calvin somehow knew this lady had access to the good stuff.
Yum!
Dada climbed some trees to get the good apples.
Calvin had to taste them to make sure they tasted okay.
 So did Chip.
Not sure how many apples they nibbled on,
But it was nonstop apple eating the whole time we were near the trees,
No matter where they were sitting.
Calvin got to ride a big rocking horse.
 And be a farmer.
Dada got to be a farmer, too.
A fun day in the orchard!

Another Zoo Trip

We have a pass to the Milwaukee County Zoo so we are trying to go while the weather is nice. So we met some friends there the other week.
They look like a bunch of monkeys on the wrong side if the cage.
An elephant noise is one animal sound Calvin cannot make (nor can his mother).
Calvin wanted a close up look at the "laf"s (that's how he says giraffe).
Then he wanted to take Chip for a walk.
Chip thought that was rather funny.
 And off they go!
So we finally got to cage them up in the playground.
 A caged monkey.
There's a female of the species.
Calvin ventured across the shaky bridge.
 Followed closely by Chip.
Calvin and Chip liked sharing this little table on the playground.
Then Chip left and Calvin was sad.
 Not for long.
Then Chip came back and wanted back in his seat.
He settled for a new seat.
 And everyone was happy!
Another fun zoo day! Calvin napped for 3 hours after this trip!
