This past Friday, we took off on our annual summer trip out East to visit all our family and friends out there. We got Calvin all ready for bed before leaving so he could sleep on the drive to Indiana.
Early the next morning we plopped him right back in the carseat in his pajamas, where he fell back asleep until the first rest stop.
There he got to run and run to burn off energy.
He thought this "hill" was particularly fun.
He got to see all sorts of interesting things inside the rest stop, too.
Almost had a total meltdown because one of these vending machines had balls in it that he could see but not get.
Luckily, there were plenty other things to distract him.
Once he was changed, he got to play outside, again, were there were tons of his favorite things, rocks. Or "ga"s, as he calls them.
Then we had a little bit of this...
And a little bit of that...
And we were at the next rest stop.
Most of his energy burning here involved climbing on and pushing around chairs.
Followed by a little more of this in the car.
Next thing you know, we were there! What a great traveler!
