San Diego!

Sorry for the long break in pictures. We took a family trip to San Diego and then it took a while to download all the pictures.

 Calvin legitimately got his own seat on the plane now that he is over 2.

 A lollipop helped keep him seated during take off and landing.

 There was some magazine reading.

 And lots of activities to keep him busy.

 Then we checked out Sea Port Village for dinner

 and some energy burning.

 Then Calvin and Daddy went on a carousel ride.

 He was sooooooooooooo excited.

 It was an extremely fast carousel so it was almost impossible to get an in-focus picture.

 Calvin loved it!

A successful first day of travel.

Farm Stand Fun

We went back to the farm stand in Lake Geneva again this year.

 It was a beautiful day

 and there were lots of fun things to do.

 He climbed up to the top of the tower

 to go down this fun tube slide.

 It was pretty big

 and he flew down pretty fast.

 Calvin knows the routine with the cutouts now.

 There was lots of jumping, too.

 With a little help, of course.

 There were tunnels and Calvin loved to run through them.

 There were tubes for rolling, too.

 It took a while for him to get the hang of this one.

 His favorite thing was to hide in the haybales.

 Then it was on to pumpkins.

 First we explored the really big ones.

 They made him very happy.

 There were just a few pumpkins to pick from.

 Which one to choose?

 This one? That one?

 We have a winner!

 How do I get it off of here?

So much fall fun!

Ball Park

Few weekends ago, we went to a park in Lake Geneva.

 It started with the usual park things...digging

 climbing...

 sliding.

 But then it turned into more fun then Calvin could imagine when he got to play baseball on a real field.

 He loved to slide into the bases (but thought this is how you were supposed to do it).

 He would randomly assign people to sitting in the dugout

 while he continued to run and slide.

 He didn't like the bases to get dirty though.

 He made me sit in the dugout for a few turns.

 And made each of us take a turn at bat.

Calvin took a turn in the dugout (we were to keep playing even though he was sitting out)

 but was always ready to re-enter the game.

 We had to refuel after all that baseball playing.

When it comes to parks, the bar has now been raised.
