Easter Weekend

We headed to Lake Geneva for Easter weekend.
We bravely let Calvin dye easter eggs. Daddy didn't even change out of his good work shirt.
Calvin did a pretty good job listening to the directions and not making a big mess.
He made a nice variety of colors.
Then he insisted we hide them for him to find around the house
and then he hid them for us to find.
The next morning was a real easter egg hunt (aka egg grabbing competition) at a local park,
complete with a significantly less creepy easter bunny.
 On your marks... get set...
 GO!
 And madness ensued.
Later that day, Calvin, Grandpa, and Mommy went for a walk on the shore path.
Calvin insisted on trying to ride the dirt bike and he was persistent enough to make it work.
We made it to the playground.
Back at the house, Calvin hide the easter eggs he made for Aunt Marty and Aunt Lindsay.
They were very good sports and found them all.
The next morning was Easter and the Easter bunny brought Calvin some good stuff.
 Slime, candy,
 toys.
Then it was time to go outside and find all the eggs the Easter bunny had hid around the yard.
Calvin picked out his Easter outfit all by himself.
 He looked,
 and looked,
and looked for all the eggs. He found all but one egg.
Then he ate and ate and ate.

Another fun holiday with family! And candy.

Sleepover

Calvin and Chip were begging to have a sleepover
so we had a modified sleepover at Chip's house
which means I slept there, too.
We roasted marshmallows in their fire pit.

Then we let them watch a movie.
 Peter Pan. They loved it!
First thing in the morning, they were right back to playing.
A successful first "sleepover".

Jelly Belly!

Calvin and few of his friends went to the Jelly Belly factory tour.
The kiddos were pretty good at waiting in the line.
We all had to wear the hats on the tour.

 The jelly bean train!

Tried to get a picture of our group with no success.

After the tour, candy and snacks were "needed".

When we were done at Jelly Belly's, most of us continued on to more fun in Kenosha.
We went for a trolley ride.

We got off the trolley at the dinosaur museum.

Not a very big museum, but the right size for a group of 3 year old boys and the right price (free).

An exhausting day of fun!

School Egg Hunt

Calvin's preschool class had a little Easter egg hunt at school.
The kids each had a set number of eggs with their name on them so they could only take those.

 They searched high and low.

They had to keep stopping and checking to see how many they had.

And helping each other find their eggs.

 Then came the best part...
eating what was inside the eggs!
A great first hunt of the Easter season!

Exciting News!

Calvin got some exciting news...
He found out he's going to be a big brother.
He's quite excited and wanted to see mommy's belly to know where the baby is.
We think he'll be a great big brother!
