Beach Night with Mom

Calvin's school had a Beach Party with Mom night.
Here is teacher is singing an octopus song.

 There was lots of dancing
 and music making
 and toe tapping.
 And food.
Calvin wasn't feeling great at the start of the night
But was feeling great and up for dressing up by the end.
 He wasn't the only one.

Calvin loved everyone laughing at how silly he looked.

A fun night together!

Pajama Day

Calvin has been waiting for pajama day at school since school started in September.
Chip borrowed one of Calvin's stuffed animals to bring with.

Even tough Christmas has been over for months, both Chip and Calvin chose to wear their Christmas pajamas.

 They were pretty cute together.
It was cute to see all the kids in their pjs. Calvin was the only one in footed pajamas.
I hope his school a pajama day next year because Calvin loves it!

Winter Fun

This winter has been VERY cold so enjoying all the snow has been tough.
But Naomi came with us to help Calvin really enjoy sledding.

He loved racing her down the hills.

He also liked to ride down with her.
They had a great time.
We took Calvin out for his first hibachi experience that night.
He loved the entertainment right at the table.
The adults at the table got to catch sake in their mouths. Calvin got to catch water in his mouth and he was very good at it.

He loved the fire from the onion volcano.
 "Whoa!"
He loved trying to eat with his chopsticks.

A busy day.

Cedarburg Winter Festival

Calvin and I went to the Winter Festival in Cedarburg, a cute little town north of us.

Calvin rode a camel for the first time.
And they had a little petting zoo, too.
Calvin loves feeding the animals.
After a little lunch
and some crafts
we headed outside to see the ice carving
and watch the parade go by.

Calvin was given a gum ball during the parade and wanted to try gum for the first time.
It took some coaching and practice to swallow his saliva but not the gum
but he caught on and loved it.
We ventured out on the ice of the frozen river
and Calvin loves sliding on the ice.
He wants to participate in the barrel races next year.
We'll see.

Play and Pancakes

Calvin and I went to a children's play called Mostly Monsterly.
The kids got to make their own monster.
 Calvin named his Poopsy Poops.

Afterward the kids got to meet the actors.

After the play, Calvin had been so good I treated him to his favorite meal: pancakes!
 There one minute,
 gone the next.
Easy to please.
