Valentine's Day

We hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day!
Calvin and I went to an ice cream social a few days before Valentine's Day.

There was a bluegrass band there
 and the boys loved it.
Calvin worked on signing his name on his valentines.
After class, Calvin and Chip went through all the goodies they got in their valentines bags.

I had to control the sugar intake given that I had both of them for almost 3 hours.

Calvin was aslo excited to get a Valentine in the mail from Orson.
Another fun holiday!

Another Pirate Play

We went to the Music for Munchkins musical at the local high school again this year.
This year the theme was pirates so the kids were given treasure maps to try all the instruments.
After they tried an instrument, they got a stamp on their map.

He was sooooo excited to fill out the whole map.
The crafts included hooks and pirate hats.
 Our little buccaneers loved it.

They got to meet the actors from the musical (some of whom were VERY good for high schoolers).

Good timing on the theme for these little guys.

Cowgirl Party

Calvin was invited to Ellie's 3rd birthday party.
Here he's helping her fix her carriage.
Here the kids are singing to her and anxiously waiting the huge cupcakes.
 Yum!
It was a cowgirl theme and each kid got a hat and to make a horse to take home.
Cowboy Calvin continued to enjoy his treasures at home.

A great party theme!

Gymnastic Fridays

Chip's mom and I switch days to watch the boys after school twice a week.
I take them on Fridays and often take them to the open gym gymnastics.

 They are pretty happy there.

Here Calvin convinced Chip to get inside this thing.

 Opps! Not good!

 Two peas in a pod.

Afterward I took them through a carwash.
 They were fascinated.
Now when Chip gets in my car, he comments that it is dirty, hoping he can convince me to go through another carwash.
On the drive home, they started bickering and Calvin was saying he didn't want to sit next to Chip anymore.
Less then two minutes later, I look back and they are holding hands and getting along just fine.
I see why people mistake them for twins all the time.
