Temporary Housing

A few weeks back we had to have the asbestos removed from our attic so Calvin and I moved into Chip's house for a few days while that happened. We did all sorts of fun things with them (many of which I didn't take pictures of).
Given the newness of potty training, we had several underpants only parties.
We went on a bike ride and Calvin got to ride in Chip's cart.

The last day we stayed there was a really bad storm so we stayed in.
We moms tried to not be too freaked out by the intensity of the storm.
To pass the time, we watched a movie.
Calvin and Chip snuggled (and fought like bothers) on Chip's couch.
Once things cleared up we ventured down to the lake.
They had to check out the new mud that the rain brought.
The beach wasn't in the best condition for hanging out
so we headed back up .
Luckily they can have fun doing anything together.
The last evening we went to the local ice cream social.
They truly enjoyed the Whitefish Bay Community Band.
Calvin has been really getting into dancing lately.

We can't thank Chip and his parents for being such gracious hosts and letting us invade their home.

Soccer Tots

Calvin had a crash course in soccer over the past 3 weeks.
2 mornings a week they learned to stop the ball,
 jump over the ball,
kick the ball with small kicks,
kick the ball with big kicks,
and, in general, learn to do stuff with their feet instead of their hands.

This was a running/chase game they loved.
And, of course, no activity would be complete without a parachute.
 No complaints from this guy.
And they always ended with a team cheer.
Soccer!

Block Party

I'm so far behind. About a month ago we had our block party.
We rented a bounce house, again.

We also had some firemen visit the party with their truck.
Calvin was a little quiet and hesitant at first.

He loosened up when his buddy Will showed up.

He shared his cozy coop car with Will.
We had to try to pose some pictures with the truck.
We tried to get the three 3 year old boy buddies to pose together.
Just try to get all three to cooperate.
We tried to get all the neighborhood kids to pose together.
 It went only slightly better.
Calvin and Will found ways to entertain themselves.
 Cake!

 S'mores!

Another fun block party. We are already planning one for the end of summer. :)
