Visitors

We were so happy that Grandma Happy and Pop-Pop came for a visit last weekend!
Knowing that Calvin loves trains, they got him his own conductors hat and scarf complete with whistle.
Calvin showed Grandma Happy how he loves to draw on his easel
 and do lots of puzzles.
 LOTS of puzzles.
On Saturday, we took them to a winter festival.
 There was food
 and music
 and a sleigh ride.
We went for a ride and this was our view.
 But it was very fun.
Bundling up was very necessary out there.

Calvin found ways to warm up inside.
On Sunday we took them to "Music for Munchkins" at the local high school.
The kids got to try out the instruments
 and make crafts.

Then they were ready to go see the show.
Well, after a little running around.
 Let the show begin.
After a cute little play (during which the boys were surprisingly good),
They had to get out some more energy.
A very fun visit with Grandma Happy and Pop-Pop!

Snowy Days

Calvin has been enjoying the snow more and more this winter.
This was his first attempt at a snow angel a few weeks ago.
Then we went sledding with his friend Liam the other weekend

and he was up for making a real snow angel.

Then we went sledding with Chip last week.

They loved to ride down together.
There's plenty of snow here when it's "warm" enough to enjoy it.

Best Buds

Just found some pictures. So we are going back in time to right after Christmas.
We had Chip over to watch him to give his mommy a little break for a few hours.
Calvin showed Chip some of his new Christmas presents.
 They had a little lunch.
 And played some more.
They played well together with some toys
and not so well with other toys.
Who knew a giraffe was worth wrestling over?
Then I stuck the boys in the wagon and we took to the streets
to deliver cookies to the workers at the fire department, the police department and the library.

 They liked to ride together
but Calvin wanted to give pulling a try.

That only lasted so long before Chip wanted to try, too.

After a little rough start, we were able to work it out so they both were happy.
Back home, we gave Chip the Christmas presents Calvin had picked out for him.

A fun day with a good buddy!
