Paper Boy

At Calvin's art class, we traced the kids' bodies and then the kids were able to paint themselves.
Calvin liked "himself" quite a bit.
He liked to hold "Calvin's" hand.

He wanted to put it down on the ground
and lie down on it like when he traced him.
He, again, wanted to hold his hand.
 And check out his shoes.

However there are consequences of so much love of a paper version of yourself...
Opps! It was fun while it lasted!

Storytime

We have been going to storytime at the library and our neighbors Siena and William were there the other day.
After the storytime, the kids like to play in the library. Siena was reading to Calvin just like a teacher, licking her fingers to turn the pages, asking him questions and everything.
Calvin wanted to see this bin of books up close.
William thought that looked like a good idea.
 Silly boys.
Calvin loves the library!

Climbing Crazy

A few weeks ago, we met some friends at a local indoor playground.
He managed to climb all the way up to the top of the big structure and
figured out how to safely get down on his own.
He loved to climb and climb
which made for less pictures taken because I had to keep making sure he wasn't going to fall (or jump) off of any high places.
Calvin wanted to ride on every toy Chip was riding on
 so they solved the problem.
Yes, this slide is as high as it looks.
 He loved it!

Calvin and Spencer had some fun in the tunnel.
And Calvin was really hoping he could peddle this tricycle.
Maybe next time.

More Eggs!

Hunting for the Easter eggs wasn't the only fun thing to do with the eggs.
He got to open each one
 and see what was inside.

Some had things to stick on you.
 Another had a sweet treat.
He put all his prizes in his basket.
Then he picked up all the eggs
and put them in some buckets.
Have to put them in just right.
And what do you do with buckets?
 You carry them around.
 And swing them around.
The empty eggs were almost as fun as when they had prizes in them.

Easter Eggs!

The weekend before Easter, Calvin went to a local Easter egg hunt with a few friends.
I don't think Calvin realized the bunny ears were on.
There was still quite a bit of snow so they had to get creative with hiding spots.

The kids quickly figured out there was good stuff inside the eggs and the interest increased.
The Easter bunny was there. Spencer was a fan.
Chip was hesitant but ok with him.
Calvin was not a fan and only wanted the inanimate one.
Then the Easter bunny left eggs for Calvin on Easter.
We had our own Grandpa Bunny there.
 Calvin searched
 and searched
 and searched.
He loved it so much that later we took a couple empty eggs
i
and repeatedly hid them for him to find.
It was equally exciting each time.
He got better and better at finding them.
We will probably break out this game quite a bit at home.
He is quite the egg hunter!
