Longwood Gardens

The day after the Please Touch Museum, we went to Longwood Gardens to see the Christmas lights display they have. It was beautiful!

But it was also very cold
so we quickly made our way to the indoor displays.

There were all sorts of light displays throughout the greenhouses.

They have an area that has numerous water fountains.
I believe it was a little confusing to him as to why the day before we were encouraging him to play in the water (at the museum)
and this day we were telling him to just look and not touch (only because it was really cold out and wet sleeves would not be a good thing).

 He had fun regardless.

It was another great outing!

Please Touch

While in Philadelphia, we visited a great kid's museum called the Please Touch Museum.
 He got to touch water,
 drums,
 turtles,
 boats,

 bikes,
 rakes,
 pianos,
 castles,
 rainbows,
 mirrors,
 trains,
and stereoscopes (Todd looked that one up for me).
There was an awesome grocery store.
Calvin found lots of groceries he wanted to buy.

There was a mail truck, too. Calvin loves to talk about the mailman coming everyday so very happy to see a mail truck.
I think he had a little more fun in the truck that the mailman does.

I think the slowest he moved all day was when he reach the balance beam.
He had to concentrate hard to get across
 but he did it.
Of course we had to find some buttons to press.
And then we cruised our way out of there.
Needless to say, he took a good nap that day.

More Christmas

More Christmas celebrations occurred when we got to Philadelphia.
 Hmmm...What's down here?
 Presents for me
 Presents for you
 And presents for me
After a quick trip to Sue's house for Christmas breakfast,
we returned for more present opening.
Yippee!
 So happy!
For Christmas dinner, we headed to Aunt Karen's house. Calvin was so happy to play with "John T" (the combination name he gave for John and JT) again.
 They were such good sports
playing all sorts of games with Calvin.
It's not an optical illusion that these boys seem tall.

 They are small giants
 and great playmates!

A game of catch was soooooooooo much fun!
 Ooooo you dropped it!
 I got it!
 Time for good-byes.

Thanks for playing and a great Christmas!
