Give Me a Rake!

Calvin discovered this fall that he loves to rake leaves.
Grandma Sarah gave him a little hand rake to use.
The big sticks were pretty fun, too.

Sometimes making a mess is more fun!
He wanted to trade with Grandma.
"I'm helping!"

Yard work is so much fun!

Pumpkin Festival

The week before Halloween, we headed over to the Whitefish Bay annual Pumpkin Fest.
We had to pose him on the big pumpkins like we did last year.
It was a little bit easier this year given that we don't have to hold him up anymore.
We jammed him into the same pumpkin sweatshirt from last year.
I think we will have to get a new shirt next year.
Calvin's attention was grabbed by the little band playing music.
We had a little bit of swaying going on.
But he had to check it out closer.
 And closer.
Then he broke out his dance moves; arms swinging,
 hips swinging,
 moving towards the other dancers.
Always good family fun at the Pumpkin Festival!

More Fall Photos

Earlier this fall, I took Calvin out to a local park to get some pictures of him enjoying the beautiful fall weather we were having.

Calvin says, "That hill looks fun!
 Here
 I
 goooooooo!
 Yay
hills!"

More Monkey Business

Calvin got one more opportunity to wear his costume at a walk in the nature center.

We got some parachute time there, too.

Photos of the rare forest monkey in his natural habitat.

A monkey can climb a tree, right?

I tried to get a picture of  him running around the balcony area, looking like a caged monkey.
But he wouldn't stand still, though. Shocking.
Silly monkey!

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a great Halloween! Since we had trick or treating on Sunday, we got together with Calvin's little friends for a music class and Halloween party.
For some variety, Calvin borrowed Chip's bear costume.
All we needed was a lion to make this group complete. (Get it, lions and tigers and bears?)
We had some parachute fun after music and books.

Calvin had to do some serious bead counting.
It's a little known fact that bears and owls often fight over keyboards in the wild.
Calvin and Chip did some housework together.
Calvin had to get some sliding in (he had to move quickly before a tiny elephant pushed her way through).
Later, Calvin went for a horse ride.
He even went for a little horseback riding date with Maeve.
A fun Halloween for all!
