Tee Time

Calvin got to try his hand at golf for the first time. 

 First he had to check out the clubs.

He tried to figure out how he was supposed to use them.

  Calvin seemed surprised no one was taking this weapon-like item away from him.

 Then he found out that this game got even better by involving his favorite item in the world, a ball.

 He tried his best to hit the ball with the club.

 In the end, like so many golfers, he just picked the ball up and dropped it where he wanted it.

PGA tour, here we come!

Ice Ice Baby

It has been VERY hot here. So hot that I give Calvin ice to play with. 

And he loves it. 

 He also loves to eat the ice.

 Let's try this piece.

 Hmmm, what else do we have?

 Not sure I like this one.

 This one is better.

 Yum!

 Glad I tried each one.

 Where did they go?

Thank goodness for ice makers!

Giddyup Horsey

We were in Lake Geneva a few weeks ago and Calvin got to ride a rocking horse that his mama used to ride when she was little. 

Quite the little cowboy!

Potty Party

So I do my very best to remember to shut the bathroom door

because when I slip up and forget, I find this:

 Notice he is in his coat because we were on our way out.

 Needless to say, we were late getting out the door.

And I'm much better at remembering to shut the door.

SOOOOO Close

Calvin is getting taller everyday and can ALMOST reach the handle for the back door.

We are in for a world of trouble when he can successfully open it.

Buckets of Fun

One of Calvin's favorite things to do on the new patio is play with buckets of water.

 He likes to drop things in the water, like balls.

 Plop!

 And shovels.

 What fun!

 Hmmmm. What else can he find to put in the water?

 His face.

 And when you can't get to the water, bring the water to you.

 Oooo, that was unexpectedly cold!

 Mama, get me some more water, please!

Repeat this, 20 times, daily.

Lucky Number 13

Calvin is 13 months today. I doubt I will keep the monthly birthdays up much longer but we were by Lake Michigan today with the Audubon group so we have pictures to show anyway. 

 Calvin and Chip had to fight over the seashells.

 After playing inside, we headed to the beach.

 There was sand

and rocks

 and shovels

 and a wooden teepee.

 Chip was determined to play in the lake.

 So we attempted to distract him with rocks and sand with very limited results.
