Go Fly a Kite

There is an episode of Curious George where George flies a kite. 

 So Calvin really wanted to fly one. 

 It took a LOT of tries

 but caught on eventually. 

 Between the wind stopping and starting and switching directions and the rain coming, the weather was not on our side. 

 But we still got some good runs in

before the rain started. 

Future Artist

Calvin was exploring his artistic side with chalk. 

 His baseball drawings are improving. 

 He took his drawing very serious. 

He says he going to be an artist after he is a baseball player. 

Cupcake

Is that a goatee on Calvin you ask?

 No, Calvin chose to celebrate his birthday at school early in the month because his daddy was going to be helping in class. 

 Calvin wanted chocolate cupcakes and pickles as his treat, again. 

 He wanted to help make the cupcakes. 

 He knows with helping, comes the reward of licking the batter off the spoon. 

 The end result:

Wedding Weekend

We had a family wedding to go to this weekend so we were lucky to get to stay at Cousin Dean's house (and just get one sitter for the two). 

 The boys found all sorts of things to do together. 

 And the adults got to have fun, too. 

 The fun continued the next morning.

Down Time

The boys found many ways to fill the down time between adventures. 

 Hugo was very nice and shared some of his favorite toys with Calvin. 

 Hugo loved being silly and falling on the couch. 

 We took a trip to Bob's Redmill. 

 There was lots of baseball. 

 They loved trying to use Uncle Byron's "real wooden bat". 

 There was lots of wrestling. 

 Being silly. 

 And more wrestling. 

 And walks. 

 Hugo did such a great job keeping up with everyone. 

 Lots of sliding. 

 And jumping.
