Linvilla Orchards

Back in Philly (Newtown Square, Media, whatever), we took a trip to Linvilla Orchards. It is a great place with tons to keep Calvin very interested.
 It had a great playground.
 He loved this train.

 Choo choo!

There was a great boat, too, among many other great pieces of equipment.
There was also a petting zoo there.
Lots of "buuurds", as Calvin says.
He got to feed a goat (he kept saying "Baaa" thinking it was a sheep).
His favorite were the "ga-ga"s (quack-quack for ducks).
We bought some feed to attract the ducks.
 It worked.

He could have stayed at the ducks all day.
But then he got to see the emu
 and some crazy looking chickens.
We will definitely be coming back here the next time we come east.

Ocean City Favorites

Here are a few of Calvin's favorite things from the beach half of our trip.
Calvin loved his Pop-Pop's chair.
He also loved the ice cream he got to try.

He was a big fan of holes in the sand.
Dada was very good at providing Calvin with new and interesting holes in the sand.
He loved to go with his Dada to get more water.
He LOVED all the rocks outside the house.

 Endless entertainment.
He loved going down the many carpeted steps on his belly.
By the last day, he even liked going in the water.
And we loved the time we got to spend with him.
 Next stop, Philadelphia.

Welcome Baby Isla!

Last week our friends Rindee (who has made several appearances on the blog) and Chris welcomed a new baby girl, Isla Rachelle!

Isla decided to greet the world 7 weeks early so she is getting some extra special attention at the hospital but is doing well and we can't wait to meet her when she is ready!

Boatloads of Fun

This Ocean City Beach Patrol boat was on the beach were we were playing.

Calvin HAD to check it out.
 Hmmm. Those paddles look interesting.
Let's see if we can get it in the water.
 Hmmm. That didn't work.
 Let's try this end.
Is there something under here stopping my fun?
I bet I can push it from here.
 Oh forget it.
I'll just pose with the family.

Sand Castle?

Calvin found the remains of an abandoned sand structure of some sort.

 Calvin found it quite fascinating.
It made a great track for running around.
And, of course, for throwing his ball on.
 He could climb up it
 and down it
 and slide down it
and put his head on it (don't ask because I don't know).

Thank you to who ever made this wonderful pile of sand.
