Sunny Day

A few weeks ago, Calvin and I headed to a local park because it was a BEAUTIFUL day.
Here Calvin is discovering he liked to push the swing and have it bump it in his head.
 Hanging on the slide.
Posing by the lake. While it looks like he's smiling but is actually saying "Bike".
 Enjoying the view.
I tried to get another "smile" but instead he made silly faces,
 said he was "done",
 and screamed "bike!".
Finally, he gave me a smile.
After the busy morning, he passed out as soon as the bike started moving.
A great day!

Art Show

The morning after Oktoberfest, Calvin, Grandma Sarah and I went to an art show. We took turns entertaining Calvin as the other looked at booths.
We had snacks.
And orange cones to re-arrange.
 And re-arrange.
 And re-arrange.
And pine cones to drop in those cones.
And cones to put in cones and then drop pine cones in.
Then he discovered that the refreshment booth had a huge cooler of ice (one of his favorite things). He was able to charm the ladies into letting him have as much ice as he wanted.
And the most fascinating thing was this sign leaning up against the fence.

It doesn't take a lot to entertain him as long as he isn't confined or have to be still.

And just for comparison, this was him at the same art show last year. I remember thinking he was getting so big at that time. :)
Crazy.

Oktoberfest

We took Calvin back to Oktoberfest this year. There was a lot to keep Calvin entertained.
The trumpeters on the tables.
The rocks (which he discovered fit perfectly in the holes of that sewer grate).
 The were games to watch.
 The dancers to watch.
Lots of dancers.
He got to hang out with Mama, Dada,
 Grandpa,
 and Grandma.
I don't know this boy but I just had to show how cute he is in his lederhosen. There were kids all over in them. I think Calvin needs a pair.
Another fun trip to Oktoberfest!

The End

I think this is the end of the vacation pictures.
Fun the last night with Grandma Happy and Pop-Pop!
Grandma was always good for a horsey ride.
Couldn't get all 3 of them to look at the camera at the same time.
The restored rocking chair (it used to be blue, very blue).
"I love all the attention here."
 "Whatcha doin' Pop-Pop?"
It was a great trip! Thanks for a great time!

Visit to the Konar Household

While we were out East, we visited the Konar's.
Calvin warmed up to Mrs. Konar very quickly when she showed him their great backyard.
Up and down he goes.

More play time with Uncle Ross.

Smelling herbs in the garden
Bringing a flower to Mommy.

There was fun indoors, too!

Always fun to see the Konar's!

Life of the Party

We went to a cookout at a friend's house while in Newtown Square.
Calvin dove right in to the Legos (his father was so proud).
He was happy when some other kids arrived,
even though Uncle Ross is kinda like a big kid.
Calvin felt very comfortable thoroughly getting to know AJ.
Brooke and AJ were very nice kids, although Calvin looked like a giant next to them.
Calvin arrived first, so he had to show them all the things to get in to.
There was the bucket of beer and ice,
the soccer ball and net,
 the Legos,

and chalkboard (Calvin discovered how yummy black chalk is).

The boys made frequent trips back to the balls

 and the bucket of ice.

It was great to get to spend time with family and friends!
